It’s a great time to be part of IABC Utah. Our 2008 line-up lends many opportunities for professional development (PD sessions), networking, and skill-building to get the most out of your IABC membership. Additionally, we are making great strides with the local colleges and universities to offer mentoring and ways students can get involved.
We are in the midst of planning our annual Spring Conference which will be held, Thursday, March 20 at the Marriott City Centre from noon to 5 pm. Laura Ries, marketing consultant and best selling author, is the keynote speaker. Registration will begin in mid-February and information about the event will be posted on the Web site and emailed to chapter members.
IABC Utah has recently launched a new, interactive Web site using WordPress technology. The new site will allow our chapter to deliver news, job postings, and other information more quickly to members. It also offers members the ability to comment on articles and provide feedback. We are excited to hear from you and encourage your use of this feature. Members will also be able to automatically subscribe to our site and receive the latest updates via E-mail.
Later, a Members-Only section will be available for downloads of past PD session materials and other information exclusive to members of IABC Utah.
If you are new to IABC or a returning member, we encourage you to explore the site and attend an upcoming PD session. I look forward to seeing you soon.
